There are only two application meetings remaining for families seeking to apply for Habitat for Humanity housing next year.

Habitat for Humanity is seeking low to moderate income people to apply for the 2009 program. Interested applicants must attend one of the meetings.

The meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Both will take place at the Habitat for Humanity office at 2380 Murphy Boulevard in Gainesville.

Habitat for Humanity plans to build homes in 2009 for five or six families of their choice.

Families are selected based on need for housing, ability to make payments and willingness to be active partners with Habitat for Humanity.
