Traffic will shift Monday on U.S. 129 from Ga. 330 to New Kings Bridge Road. From New Kings Bridge Road to Potter House Road, traffic will be routed to the northbound lanes while work is completed in the southbound lanes.

"Please slow down as everyone gets used to the traffic shift. It will be different for everyone, and you need to slow down and do what the signs and barrels direct you to do," DOT District Engineer Russell McMurry said.

The traffic shift is part of a widening project on U.S. 129 that should be completed by June 30 at a cost of more than $21 million.
