An early morning fire destroyed a catering business Monday on White Sulfur Road.
Food Factory Catering, located at 3139 White Sulfur Road, was destroyed by fire of still undetermined origins, said Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle.
At approximately 3:30 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to reports of a fire at the business. More than half of the 1,800-square-foot building was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived, Cagle said.
No one was injured during the fire; the business’ owners, William and Greg Crowe, were not present at the time the fire started, Cagle said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, though it appears to be accidental, Cagle said.
Damages are estimated at about $150,000.
Hall County fire officials also still are investigating a possible arson that occurred at Platt Park over the weekend.
A bathroom at the park caught fire sometime early Saturday morning, according to Cagle.
Although the damage estimates are not yet known, Cagle said damage was minimal because the bathrooms are made of concrete.
Cagle said fire officials do suspect that the fire was set intentionally.
