Two Johnson High School students have been arrested in connection with false reports of a crime.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office was called around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday by a juvenile who said he had been shot at the high school. The caller abruptly hung up.
A second call also came from the school, with the caller also quickly hanging up.
It was eventually determined there was no shooting at the school.
“A joint investigation between the Hall County Sheriff’s Department and the Johnson High administration led to the identification, subsequent suspension and arrest of the two,” said school spokesman Gordon Higgins in a statement.
The two 16-year-old boys were charged Thursday — one with a false report of a crime, and the second with misuse of 911. They will go through juvenile court.
