Broad Street between Maple Street and West Academy Street will be closed through 9 p.m. on Friday, July 31, Gainesville Water Resources announced Tuesday.

Drivers are asked to watch for workers and equipment in the area.

The closure is part of the Jesse Jewell and Queen City Parkway intersection utility relocation project.
