The Patriotic Pops concert set for tonight is moving indoors, given the rainy forecast.

The Northwinds Symphonic Band was originally set to perform at The Arts Council Smithgall Arts Center, but now the patriotic sounds will be played in the main sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Gainesville, 751 Green St.

It still starts at 8, but doors will open at 7:30 p.m. Will call opens at 7 p.m. And no food or drink are allowed at the indoor venue.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for seniors and students. A 7 percent tax will be charged to all ticket sales.

Led by Mercer Crook, the Northwinds Symphonic Band roster includes active and retired band directors, music teachers, college students, professional musicians and several players who pursue an occupation outside the field of music.
