A toddler injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident near Flowery Branch was airlifted to an Atlanta children’s hospital Wednesday, officials said.

The child, a young boy whose age was not immediately available, was a passenger with a 7-year-old and a female who was driving the four-wheeler about 2:20 p.m. Wednesday when it wrecked on Keystone Court, a residential street off Elizabeth Lane in south Hall, the Georgia State Patrol said.

All three were injured; the driver and the 7-year-old were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and the toddler was flown by helicopter to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, a state patrol operator said.

The names and conditions of the ATV riders were not immediately available. The cause of the accident remained under investigation, according to the patrol.
