Three people who had a package containing 12 pounds of marijuana mailed from Texas to a Gainesville apartment were arrested Friday, authorities said.

Justin Thomas Wilson, 20, Jose David Salinas Jr., 22, and Daniel Hyun Park, 21, were charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad Lt. Scott Ware said.

A undercover officer dressed as a U.S. Postal Service employee delivered the box to Wilson's apartment in the 1800 block of Vineyard Way, Ware said. The package had earlier been intercepted in the mail by Gainesville police, he said. It appeared the package was mailed from Roma, Texas. The marijuana was packaged in one large brick wrapped in plastic-lined bedsheets inside a cardboard box, Ware said.

After Wilson signed for the package, he was arrested. Salinas and Park arrived at the apartment a short time later and were also arrested, Ware said.
