Three members of the SUR-13 gang were arrested Wednesday after a fight between rival gangs, according to police.

Hector Rodriguez, 17, Rafael Munoz, 18, and a juvenile, all three from Gainesville, were charged with aggravated assault, affray and violation of the street gang and terrorism act. In addition, Rodriguez was charged with providing false information to an officer after authorities say he claimed to be a juvenile.

Gainesville police officers were called to a fight between members of SUR-13, BOE and Laonda gangs Wednesday night in the parking lot of Del Sol, a restaurant and bar at 1830 Atlanta Highway, according to Lt. Scott Ware with the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad.

During the fight, a 16-year-old member of the Laonda gang was stabbed in the arm and sustained a cut to the head, according to a press release from Ware. Authorities say they have recovered the knife used in the stabbing.

The victim’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, and he was treated at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Rodriguez and Munoz were booked in the Hall County Jail. The juvenile suspect was booked in the Regional Youth Detention Center.
