Gainesville City Council will formally approve its 2016 fiscal year budget when it meets Tuesday night, and also set property tax rates for the coming year. The proposed $30.7 million general fund budget is $400,000 greater than the current fiscal year, and includes $800,000 for employee salary and merit increases. But no tax increases are proposed.
