Hall County sheriff’s deputies are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday night at a convenience store on Atlanta Highway.

Chief deputy Col. Jeff Strickland said the agency’s criminal investigations division is trying to identify a suspect in the robbery, which occurred at the Shell Food Mart shortly before 10 p.m. Monday.

The victim told police that a white male wearing a black, hooded jacket, white bandana and black baseball hat entered the store with a handgun and demanded money.

The man took all the money from the cash register and then fled in a gray vehicle driven by another person. The victim was not injured, according to police.

Strickland said investigators are looking at surveillance video, but have no images to release to the public yet.
