Hall County SWAT team members arrested a suspect in a Tuesday bank robbery in Suwanee this morning in Flowery Branch, officials said.

Hall County Sheriff’s Maj. Jeff Strickland said the FBI and Suwanee Police Department requested the Hall Sheriff’s SWAT unit’s assistance after tracking the suspect to a triplex in the 4900 block of Atlanta Highway in downtown Flowery Branch.

The 22-year-old suspect was taken into custody shortly after 11:30 a.m. without incident, Strickland said. Sheriff’s officials arrested another suspect in a traffic stop on Atlanta Highway south of Frazier Road after he was seen leaving the bank robbery suspect’s home in a black Ford Mustang, Strickland said.

Both suspects were turned over to the FBI and Suwanee Police Department.

Their names were not immediately available.

The FBI reported that the Gwinnett Community Bank in the 3400 block of Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road was robbed just before 11 a.m. Tuesday, when a black male wearing a stocking cap and bandana entered the bank and pointed a handgun at a teller.
