More than 150 Jackson EMC customers are without power in Lumpkin County following thunderstorms in the area.
More than 600 were without power at the height of the storm.
“Line crews have been dispatched and will continue to work to restore these outages as quickly and safely as conditions allow,” according to a news release from Jackson EMC.
A hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service warns of strong to severe thunderstorms today in North Georgia, which may bring damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning and a few tornadoes. Flooding is also possible.
