A South Hall neighborhood has set its second annual race for a good cause for Sept. 27 Sterling on the Lake in Flowery Branch will kick off the morning with a quarter-mile "Tree House Tot Trot" at 8:30 a.m., followed at 9 a.m. with the "Sterling Stampede" 5K. Race day registration is $25 for 5K runners and $15 for Tot Trotters. Early registration is $20 for the 5K and $10 for the Tot Trot Activities at the stampede include a catered post-race breakfast and free pre- and post-race massages for runners, plus goodie bags and free T-shirts for pre-registered runners. Awards will be presented in the top male and female age categories. Proceeds from the event go to My Sister’s Place, a Gainesville-based organization that gives shelter, safety, support, faith and life skills training to women in need.
