State releases draft water quality restrictions for public comment

A draft plan to tighten restrictions on wastewater plants along the Chattahoochee River is out for public comment until Nov. 24. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division published its proposed total maximum daily loads for individual pollutants and nutrients in the Chattahoochee, Lake Lanier and connected waterways on Friday.
