Political robocalls were placed to Gainesville residents last week urging them to vote for incumbent Jeff Stowe in the Republican primary race this month for Hall County Commission District 4. The twist is that the prerecorded message argued that Stowe was vulnerable and would be easier for Democrat Angela Middleton to beat in the November general election than his challenger Troy Phillips. Voters must choose either a Republican or Democratic ballot to cast in the primary.
