Fans of tater tots, burgers and slushies available by drive-in will soon have reason to celebrate. Sonic restaurant is renovating the former Chick-fil-A restaurant on the corner of Shallowford Road and Pearl Nix Parkway in Gainesville. Sonic previously was located on Dawsonville Highway, in the same location the Chick-fil-A moved to last summer.
