Six people traveling in a van Thursday were transported for medical treatment after a wreck on Ga. 284/Clarks Bridge Road, including one child who was airlifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.

Georgia State Patrol said a Nissan Quest van was traveling southbound on Clarks Bridge Road approaching Parks Drive, as a black GMC Sierra pickup truck headed northbound.

“The driver of the truck attempted to turn left in front of the van, failing to yield,” according to state patrol.

Holly Carter, 23, of Gainesville, was cited with failure to yield while turning left, according to state patrol. She was not transported for medical care.

“All six individuals in the van were injured in the crash and taken for treatment,” according to state patrol.

Five of the van’s occupants went to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, with the other being the child who was airlifted.

“As of (Monday evening), we have not been notified of any negative changes regarding the conditions of those injured in the crash,” according to state patrol.
