Searchers will use sonar in search for missing man on Lanier
Case being handled as an accidental drowning, official says

Recovery efforts continued today on Lake Lanier for a man who went missing late Friday after he jumped from a sailboat in the overnight hours early Saturday and is presumed drowned. The search was expected to begin again at first light, according to Robin Hill, a spokeswoman with the Department of Natural Resources. Crews from the DNR, Hall County Fire Services and dive teams from the Hall County and Forsyth County sheriff’s offices are taking part.
