Search to resume Friday for possible drowning victim

Authorities have suspended the search for a man believed to have drowned Sunday and will resume searching Lake Lanier on Friday.

Divers with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office have spent three days searching a five-acre area of the lake near Aqualand Marina for 46-year-old Broderick Bradford of Ellenwood, who was seen going under water after falling off a personal watercraft. Cadaver dogs helped narrow the search area to less than an acre, but so far efforts have proven unfruitful.

Hall County Sheriff’s Maj. Jeff Strickland said divers would take today off to rest.
