Hall County Right to Life is holding an oratory contest.

To compete, high school and home-schooled juniors and seniors must write an original speech on abortion, infanticide, stem-cell research or euthanasia that is five to seven minutes long. The competition is set for March 6.

"We are encouraging all pro-life students to get involved," said Kay Valentine of the organization.

The winner will receive $100 and go on to compete at the Georgia Right to Life Oratory Contest set for May 17. The state winner will receive $250 and a paid trip to the National Right to Life Competition in Arlington, Va., on July 5.

The national winner in Arlington will receive $1,000; second-place winner, $750; third-place winner, $500; and fourth-place winner, $250.
