The East Hall Branch of the Hall County Library System will be temporarily closed for repairs to the building’s HVAC system. The library will be closed beginning Wednesday and will re-open in mid-August after the repairs.
"This is an ongoing project for us," said Lisa MacKinney, assistant director of the Hall County Library System. "We received grant money to contribute to fixing the HVAC systems in the Murrayville and East Hall branches."
The library’s book drop will remain open, as will other branches of the Hall County Library System. Items checked out from East Hall can be returned to any other library branch.
"Murrayville has an interesting-looking facility now. It was a big project for county maintenance, and they had to basically rebuild the back of the building," she said. "They had to be creative to make it work, and the duct work looks unusual. East Hall is very much a work in progress."
