Each year, Wreaths Across America holds a wreath-laying ceremony in Arlington and other cemeteries across the nation to remember and honor the country’s veterans. This year the event lands on Dec. 13 and will take place at Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville for the third year. “We do it just simply to honor the veterans both living and deceased,” said local chapter leader Gail Mangum.
