Raccoon off Thompson Bridge Road marks Hall's first rabies case of 2018

The first rabies case of the year has been confirmed after an incident off Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville.

A rabid raccoon had contact with two dogs in the 900 block of Etta Vista Circle, according to a news release from Hall County.

The county was informed Jan. 12 that the raccoon tested positive for rabies. Alert signs will be posted in the area.
