A rabies alert has been issued for the North Hall County area after a raccoon tested positive following contact with a dog. The animal was found in the Highland Circle area and shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab in Decatur, where it was confirmed Monday to have rabies. It is the sixth confirmed case in Hall this year.
