A rabies alert has been issued for the Cool Springs Road area on North Hall County after a rabid raccoon came in contact with a dog. The raccoon was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab, Virology Section in Decatur and Hall County was advised Monday that the raccoon was positive for rabies. This is the seventh confirmed case of 2014.
