A rabid goat was confirmed in the Baker Circle area of North Hall on Saturday, the second confirmed case in Hall County this year.
The goat was shipped to the University of Georgia in Athens and confirmed to be infected Friday.

Animal owners are encouraged to vaccinate their domesticated pets for rabies. Vaccines are available Tuesday through Friday at the Hall County Animal Shelter at 1688 Barber Road, Gainesville, 678-450-1587.
