A woman who attended North Hall High School was killed in a wreck Thursday, Oct. 17 in Carrollton, according to authorities.

Vlada Bonnette Andersen, 26, and Khalil Dewayne Johnson, 26, of Covington, were killed in a wreck around 10:48 p.m. Thursday.

Georgia State Patrol troopers were working with Carrollton Police on a road check on Northside Drive at Stewart Street.

Authorities said two people in an Audi sedan showed their IDs to a Carrollton Police officer before speeding away from the checkpoint. State patrol said Johnson was the driver and Andersen was the passenger.

The car left the roadway after failing to negotiate the left curve at the Ga. 113 intersection.

The vehicle struck the woodline, overturned and caught fire. Two occupants were trapped inside.

The state patrol post in Villa Rica is working the investigation.
