Preschool teacher wins $1 million in state lottery

A Forsyth County preschool teacher has won $1 million playing the state’s lottery.According to the Georgia Lottery Corp., Judy Pelham of Cumming played won the top prize in Georgia Lottery Black, an instant scratch-off game.The grandmother of six claimed her winnings Wednesday at the lottery’s district office in Duluth. She bought the ticket at Save Money Food Mart on Hutchinson Road.In a statement, Pelham said she scratched off the ticket at home with her daughter.“We were screaming,” she said. “I feel pretty good, pretty excited.”According to the release, she and her husband, Carlos, have not decided what to do with the money.
