By lunchtime today, when the qualifying period ends for the July 31 state primary, you’ll know what your choices will be in the seemingly endless number of elections this year.Qualifying ends at noon today, and so far no Democrats have shown up for any races on Hall County’s ballot.In fact, one former Democrat, Paul Wayne Godfrey, is now running for the Hall County Board of Education as a Republican. Godfrey is challenging incumbent Craig Herrington for the Post 3 seat.If you looked at Godfrey’s Twitter feed back in December, you could have seen the party switch coming. The post on Twitter has since disappeared, but Godfrey wrote a blog entry on the decision to change sides that he posted Wednesday.
