Police seek suspects in Days Inn armed robbery

Gainesville police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday night in a room at a local motel.

Lt. Gary Enterekin said a visitor from Flint, Mich., was in a room at the Days Inn on Queen City Parkway about 10:40 p.m. Monday when two men came into the room brandishing handguns after he left the door slightly ajar.

The robbers took a laptop computer and cell phone from the victim and left. No one was hurt in the robbery.

The suspects were described as black males in their mid-20s. One was about 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 150 pounds, wearing jeans, a red and white striped golf shirt and a red hat, Entrekin said. The other suspect was about 5 feet, 10 inches and 160 pounds.
