A Buford man was charged Saturday with murder in the Nov. 28 shooting death of his twin brother near the Hall-Gwinnett county line, according to authorities.

Tyler Schulte, 20, of Buford, was arrested Saturday at a family member’s home on Duncan Ives Drive.

Blake Schulte, 20, of Buford was killed in the shooting, and Alexander Scott, 16, of Doraville was injured, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department. Scott was treated at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, but his current condition is unknown, according to police.

Tyler Schulte was charged with murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance.

Police responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Express Lane in the Duncan Preserve subdivision off Sardis Church Road just after 4 a.m. Nov. 28.

Scott was discovered lying beneath a tree in front of the neighborhood clubhouse with a gunshot wound. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville.

Schulte was found dead in a silver Honda about three hours later. The Honda had traveled away from the scene of the shooting down a gravel utility road underneath power lines that run near the subdivision. The car only traveled between 200 and 300 yards.
