The Gainesville Police Department has arrested a man officials believe to be responsible for a March 21 burglary.

Police first picked up 45-year-old Gainesville resident Delvin Oneil Ferguson on Sunday because he matched the description of a suspect in a burglary on the 1000 block of Vine Street.

After interviewing Ferguson, police searched his home and found several items they say were stolen during the March 21 Vine Street burglary, according to a news release.

Police are continuing their investigation to determine if Ferguson has been involved in other property crimes in the southeast area of Gainesville or the areas of Hall County that border Vine Street.
