The Gainesville Planning and Appeals Board tabled a request Tuesday from Medical Arts Properties, a local real estate firm, to have the city abandon a portion of Broad Street between Prior and Spring streets. Medical Arts wants to connect the properties it owns there, including The Longstreet Clinic building, to pave the way for potential future expansion. But planning officials said they need more details about the proposal before proceeding.
