A foster care panel will take place at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church banquet hall, 751 Green St., in Gainesville, for anyone interested in becoming foster parents or helping to support them. Every month, some 180 to 200 kids from Hall County are in the foster care system. And as of August, there were 76 spaces available in foster homes in Hall.
