In Our Community: Hall County 4-H’er selected as national conference delegate

Rhea Chawla, Flowery Branch High School senior and Hall County 4-H’er, was selected to represent Georgia 4-H at the National 4-H Conference held in Washington, D.C., April 7-12.  

At the conference, Chawla worked with a small group of delegates to create a viral campaign to encourage youth to become more prepared in the event of a natural disaster. She presented the viral campaign to the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA.

Chawla has been recognized and awarded numerous scholarships including a Hall County 4-H scholarship, the Julius Benton Memorial Scholarship and the SCAD May and Paul Poetter Scholarship.
