Officials warn parents about dangers of hot cars
Authorities say children can quickly overheat if left alone in vehicles

With temperatures on the rise, child safety advocates are hoping to give tips to parents about the precious cargo in their backseats. Kim Martin, coordinator for Safe Kids Gainesville/Hall County, said two kids have died this year related to hot-car incidents in different states. “They’ve slowly decreased over the years, but we’ve already had two deaths and we just want to get the information out there,” Martin said.
