A drizzly, cool evening Friday didn’t keep a solid crowd from visiting downtown Oakwood for the city’s annual Christmas celebration. Held in Oakwood City Park, residents mingled while enjoying live music, toasted marshmallows, hot chocolate and making Christmas crafts ... all while waiting for Santa, of course. Donations were taken at the event to benefit the South Hall Community Food Pantry, as well as the city of Oakwood’s mission to provide for needy children during the holiday season.
