A bustling University of North Georgia campus and growth in surrounding Oakwood have created a perfect traffic storm of sorts at one of South Hall County’s busiest intersections. But help may be on the way, as Oakwood is beginning talks with UNG and the Georgia Department of Transportation on developing a project to reduce congestion at Mundy Mill Road and entrances to UNG, Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club. “The main thing we’re looking at is some operational improvements or … some way to make (the intersection) more efficient,” City Manager Stan Brown said.
