OAKWOOD — Oakwood City Council voted itself — and future members — a retirement plan Monday. Under new guidelines, council members who serve at least eight years are entitled, once they retire at 62 or older, to start collecting a pension of $24 per month for every year served, with the amount not to exceed the council salary when they retire. Current monthly pay is $600 for council members and $900 for mayor.
