A rabies alert has been issued for the Wiley Road area of North Hall County after a rabid bat came in contact with a dog. The bat was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab, Virology Section in Decatur and Hall was advised Wednesday that the bat was positive for rabies. This is the 12th confirmed case of 2012.
