A North Forsyth County man was killed Tuesday night, Feb. 6, when authorities say his car crossed the center line of Browns Bridge Road and struck an SUV.
Brian Lee Potter, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 9:50 p.m. crash at the intersection of Browns Bridge and Bethel roads in Forsyth, according to a news release from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
A boy related to Potter was airlifted to a hospital and was in critical condition, authorities said.
The other driver, Salim Manji, 57, of Gainesville, was taken to a hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
Potter lost control of his 2005 Mercedes-Benz while driving west on Browns Bridge Road, according to the sheriff’s office. His vehicle crossed the center line and struck the eastbound 2017 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Manji.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, according to the news release.
