No students were injured in a charter bus accident this morning.

The eighth-grade students from North Hall Middle School were on their way to Savannah for the school’s annual field trip.

The bus, from Daniel’s Charters, hit a guard rail on Interstate 75 southbound, near the city of Forsyth in middle Georgia. No injuries were reported among the 45 students on the bus, but a parent chaperone was "shaken up" and transported to a Macon hospital for evaluation, according to a news release from the school system.

The students were placed on another bus and are on their way to Savannah.
