A school bus carrying six West Hall High School students was involved in a wreck Monday morning, but no one was reported injured.

The 2003 Hall County school bus was taking the students to the the Lanier Charter Career Academy near Oakwood when the accident occurred around 10:30 a.m., according to Hall County Schools spokesman Gordon Higgins.

Trooper Ray Dean of the Georgia State Patrol said the bus, driven by Cindy Darlene Whitmire, 54, of Gainesville was traveling northbound in the inside lane on Thurmon Tanner Parkway. Dean said Steven Matthew Meyer, 28, of Gainesville, was attempting to turn left onto Frontage Road and failed to yield the right of way. Meyer was driving a 2017 Nissan Frontier.

Dean said the front passenger's side of the school bus struck the rear passenger’s side of the Nissan.

Dean said Meyer was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
