One person was killed in a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon on U.S. 129, officials said.

The Georgia State Patrol said the one-vehicle accident happened at about 5:10 p.m. on U.S. 129 at Claude Peck Road.

The driver of the motorcycle was killed; there were no other riders on the motorcycle.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
