Northeast Georgia Medical Center has lifted its children's visitation restriction.

Visitation is limited during the winter in order to minimize patients' risk of infection during flu season.

The restrictions have been lifted due to a four-week steady decline in incidence of influenza in the state and locally, according to Elliot Raizes, the hospital's infection prevention and control committee chairman.
