A man was taken to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation Saturday afternoon after his home on Clarks Bridge Road burned.
Hall County Fire Services reported that firefighters got a call just before 1:30 p.m. and found an 800-1,000-square-foot wood frame structure in the 5400 block on fire.
The blaze was quickly extinguished, but the damage was done. The fire department reported the approximate value of damage at $25,000.
It appears the fire was caused by combustible items being too close to an electric space heater, according to the fire department.
