Man indicted on rape charge from 2013 case

A 61-year-old man was indicted this month on a charge of rape from 2013, according to authorities.

William James Santos was charged with rape in a June 2 grand jury indictment. He was booked Wednesday in to the Hall County Jail, where he remains.

Santos’ attorney Brett Willis declined to comment Friday.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office did not release any details relating to the case. A Hall County Sheriff’s Office investigator and two Georgia Bureau of Investigation employees from the Division of Forensic Sciences are listed as witnesses on the indictment.

According to the indictment, Santos is accused of raping a woman on Dec. 17, 2013.
