A man was accused in a grand jury indictment of fatally stabbing his girlfriend with a knife in East Hall, according to court documents.
Wendall Gregory Armour, 49, was charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony.
Attorney Leslie Aiken declined to comment.
Jodi Lane Gerrell, 42, was found Feb. 17 in a house in the 4700 block of Miller Lake Road.
According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded to call Feb. 17 about a man behaving abnormally. Armour was taken for evaluation to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
“After the ambulance departed the scene, the residents who placed the initial 911 call became concerned for the welfare of others in the residence and went to check on them,” Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks wrote in a news release. “Inside the home they discovered the body of Armour’s girlfriend, 42 year-old Jodi Lane Gerrell, and called 911.”
