Man accused of armed robbery at McDonald's, stealing tip jar at coffee shop

A Gainesville man was charged Thursday with armed robbery following an April 10 incident at McDonald’s on Limestone Parkway and an April 27 incident at Inman Perk coffee shop on the square. Thomas Pilotti, 54, was booked into the Hall County Jail. Gainesville Police Cpl. Kevin Holbrook said that though no weapon was presented, Pilotti was presumed to be armed.
